Of all the forms of inequality, injustice in health care is the most shocking and inhumane.

Oral Health Care

Oral health care services for Care for Kids (CFK) children are provided by the Department of Health and Human Services Community Dental Health Program at three clinic locations in Montgomery County.  General dental care is provided, including primary preventive and restorative treatment services, e.g. oral prophylasic, flouride applications, fillings, and non-surgical tooth extractions.  Oral health education is provided during all dental visits and focuses on promoting the development of good oral health habits.  Dental visits are by appointment only and clients pay a standard fee of $10 per visit.

Children are scheduled at a dental clinic based on the zip code in which the family resides.  To enter the program, call the main MCDHHS dental line, 240.777.1875, and you will be directed to the appropriate dental clinic to schedule appointments.

Currently, dental clinics are located at the following locations:

  • 1335 Piccard Drive in Rockville;
  • 8630 Fenton Street in Silver Spring; and
  • 12900 Middlebrook Road in Germantown.

A dental clinic is under development at #7 Metropolitan Court in Gaithersburg.
