Roberta Milman brings over 30 years experience working and volunteering in the field of health care to her role on the PCC Board of Directors. She is a consultant at The Lewin Group assisting health care providers, payers, corporations, federal policy makers, national associations, and local governments with strategic and business planning, health care policy analysis, community health improvement, and providing services for the uninsured. She spent many years as an executive with hospitals in Maryland and Washington, DC including The Johns Hopkins Health System, Georgetown University Medical Center, and Children’s National Medical Center. As a Vice President at AARP she developed and managed the health care products and services AARP offers its members. As a volunteer, Ms. Milman has served on the Montgomery County Commission on Health and the Commission on Women and chaired the county’s task force to develop a population-based community health plan. She has focused on making health care more accessible, affordable, and appropriate for underserved populations in all of her professional and volunteer activities. She prepared the first strategic plan for PCC and participated in the working group that helped develop the Montgomery Cares program. Ms. Milman has a bachelor’s degree from Smith College and a master’s degree from Tufts University.
